It seemed that the message was just not getting across to her dark brethren and each time that she was forced to fight her own race, the worse that Ashaiya felt about it all. They just did not seem to listen to her and the blonde mage was becoming more testy than usual, something that Tigris had certainly noticed. The normally cheerful mage was constantly in a snappy and irritable mood and both Tigris and Alexia were careful around her. Yet, despite her doubts and her foul mood, Ashaiya did not give up and continued to defeat the misled fairies and she would keep doing so until the forest was safe again. She had adapted to fighting in her smaller form which was something that she could take from the whole depressing situation. The jewels were not even a thought in the back of her mind any more as it almost felt like blood money. Alexia insisted that she took it though and shared the blonde's pain, feeling exactly the same way about the whole horrible situation.

It was a couple of days after the second fight that Alexia told the pair that the attacks had begun once more and Ashaiya and her Exceed friend grimly accepted the mission. The stories that Alexia told them about this group were startling and the blonde fairy was sickened by the events. It seemed that the pair's victories were just making the dark fairies more hostile and the green eyed mage just had to wonder is she would have to defeat the entire clan in order to bring peace. No, she did not want to become that and vowed to at least try and talk them out of this situation. Beating them was not enough so perhaps talking might. She doubted it and Tigris sadly shook her head when the three of them discussed it. They were obsessed with causing trouble and whether she liked it or not, Ashaiya and Tigris would probably have to take out this group as well, despite how unhappy they were with the thought of it.

The pair waved goodbye to Alexia and took to the forest, assuming that this next group would be even deeper in to the dark recesses of the forest. Each time, they were pushing the fairies back but they always seemed to come back with stronger opposition. With a weary look on both their faces, the pair travelled through through the forest, manoeuvring around the trees and flying in perfect synchronisation. Her flying had improved immensely in the past few days and her aerial prowess in combat was far stronger too. It was the same with Tigris, who had become a powerhouse of her own and even without Ashaiya's Sky God abilities, she could do some damage with her physical attacks, using her powerful flight speed to increase her damage. Their bond was becoming stronger and the two trusted each other immensely for which Ashaiya thanked her mentor, Valtorian, for every night.

Passing the first two clearings that they had fought in before, the pair continued their trip through the forest. It became more humid and Ashaiya soon felt her clothes sticking to her and sweat began to run down her face. It became worse the further they travelled and Tigris began to complain after a while, her immaculate fur becoming mattered and untidy. Ashaiya chuckled but it was lacking her usual enthusiasm and the pair soon returned to silence, searching for the fairies who had taken up the role of bullies of the forest. She could just not understand what the point of it all was. What was there to gain from continually bullying and harming the innocent? She refused to believe that these Fairies enjoyed it as it was against everything that her race stood for. It made her sick to even comprehend that and she shook her head, trying to remain calm, which had become harder to do over the past few days. She just wanted this sad story to reach its end.

They eventually came across a camp and the two perched on the branch of a tree to watch what was happening. There were four people, three women and one man, who were lying face down on the floor. One of them was only child and Ashaiya grit at her teeth and Tigris swished her tail in anger, angered by what she was seeing. Surrounding the people were four specks of dark light which were flying around the group, unleashing bolts of darkness which brought cries of pain from the prisoners. The fairies chuckled as they continued to torment the humans, their dark laughter filling the clearing. The male human rose and tried to throw a punch but two of the dark fairies struck with a pair of darkness bolts which knocked him out cold, while the other two flew towards the child and started playing with her hair, causing the poor girl to tremble with fear.

That was the moment where Ashaiya and Tigris revealed themselves, causing the dark fairies to bunch together, baring their teeth wickedly at the pair. The atmosphere became tense as the six winged creatures stared each other out, not one of them making a move. Yet, nothing happened to begin with and unlike the first two encounters, a fight did not break out straight away. It was an odd situation but perhaps it was a chance to perhaps talk it out and despite the anger and frustration that Ashaiya felt, she would try. She exchanged a look with Tigris, whose claws vanished but she was still ready to fight. It was difficult to tell what the dark fairies were thinking but they did not attack either although whether it was because they were afraid or out of respect was difficult to tell.

"Why?" Ashaiya asked, her gaze changing from one fairy to the next. "Why do you constantly attack those who enter this forest? Has your clan lost all of its dignity and taken to the role of childish bullies who only attack the helpless?"

The largest of the fairies came flew in front of the others and replied, his voice quite deep for one of their kind, "This is our territory and we will not allow anyone to enter it without our permission. In this forest, we are the rulers and do not have to put up with the abuse of the humans. We have suffered nothing but torment from them and we are sick to death of it. Surely you understand, being a fellow fairy."

"The humans that I have met on my travels have been nothing but kind and generous to me. I come from across the sea, born in the land where the first fairies took their first steps. I cannot just stand here and let you hurt these people. Turn around and leave the humans alone. I am sure that my previous encounters with your clan have shown that I am serious. You have my word that you will be left alone and your clan will be safe but stop with this madness," Ashaiya spoke from the heart and meant every word.

The dark fairies seemed to consider it for a moment, before the leader shook his head, "That is not good enough."

Sighing, Ashaiya prepared herself, summoning a stream of black air which surrounded her, increasing her magical strength, hearing the finality in the fairies tone. There would be no peaceful solution today. With a battle cry, the fight was on and both Fairy and Exceed charged forwards, six flying balls of light and dark, crashing in to each other. It was to be another tough battle for the light guild pair to win.

For the first few minutes, no one could score a direct hit and it was actually a moment of miscommunication that drew first blood.

Seeing a ball of darkness come towards her, Ashaiya managed to evade it, the attack instead hitting one of the other fairies. As it staggered back, Tigris came in and struck it with a charge at full force, knocking the wind out of the creature and out of the fight. It was a lucky break but against so many opponents, Ashaiya was happy to take any help she could get. Rolling underneath a second darkness ball, Ashaiya turned and launched her Sky God's Blades, which both struck the Fairy, more than enough to take it out, sending it tumbling to the floor.

The odds now even, the light guild pair took the initiative and began to gain the advantage. There was one moment of panic as Tigris was struck by a darkness ball which sent her clattering to against one of the camp tents which she slid down from to the floor. Angrily, Ashaiya changed directions and fired her Sky God's Bellow, her strongest attack, which overwhelmed the third fairy, taking it straight out of the fight, to land next to its fallen members.

Leaving just one on each side, Ashaiya flew upwards and attacked with her Sky God's Dance which struck the fairy in the chest and sent it flying upwards. As it came down again, she moved in close and struck it with two punches to the face, knocking out the creature and ending the fight.

Once it was over, she then flew down to the wounded Tigris and began to heal her, doing what she could with her healing spell. As she did this, the humans thanked her for saving her and promised that they would tell the other campers about the fairies. Ashaiya nodded and bid them farewell. When she turned back to Tigris, she found that the Exceed was awake and looking straight up at her. There was something about the look in her eye that seemed to be as though the cat was looking in to her soul. Without a word, the tiger coloured Exceed pulled Ashaiya in to a hug and they stayed that way for quite some time, before finally returning to Alexia's house.
