PostSubject: 3. Stats & Training Rules   Sun Jul 05, 2015 11:11 pm

In the world of FTRP your power is not just determined by your magic. It is also determined by your stats. There is a total of 5 different stats that you can train. Those stats are physical power, physical resistance, magic power, magical resistance, speed, and health. There is also the intelligence stat but that stat cannot be trained. Here is what each stat means:

  • Intelligence - This determines how "intelligent" your character is. This is also known as your character's magic energy or mana pool. Your mana pool is your intelligence multiplied by 10.

  • Physical Power - How much damage you can deal out with your body (such as kicks and punches) is determined by your physical power stat. In physical magics, the physical power stat is added to increase the damage dealt by your spell as well as increasing your physical magic's defenses. For each point you have in physical power is another point of physical damage you are able to deal out and add to your physical spell's durability.

  • Physical Resistance - This is how much physical damage you are able to resist. For each point you have in physical resistance is another point of physical damage you are able to resist.

  • Magic Power - Your magic power is added onto your spell's attack power and defensive capabilities in order to make your spells stronger. For each point you have in magical power is another point of magical damage you are able to deal out and add to your spell's durability.

  • Magic Resistance - As a mage, you can train your body magically in order to take hits without being injured. This is achieved through training the mage's magic resistance stat. For each point you have in magic resistance is another point of magical damage you are able to resist.

  • Speed - Speed refers to how fast something can move. You can run up to a slow speed of 5 m/s when you're first starting out as a mage. Increasing your speed can allow you to move faster. It will also increase your spell's speed. For each point you have in speed is an additional 0.5 m/s you and your spells can travel.

  • Health - Your health is what keeps you alive or conscious in a battle. The higher your health, the more hits you can take before passing out or dying (depending if it's a KV topic or not.) To calculate your health, you take your health stat and multiply it by 5.

Training

Training a stat is simple. You just need to make a training topic and meet the word count requirements. (Please keep in mind that you may only be in 2 training topics at once and none with a thought projection.) After you are done training that stat, you may post a thread in the training completion section and wait for staff to approve your training. It is best to post your training once the training topic is finished (unless that topic is significantly large.) Here is the word count requirements for training each stat:

  • Physical Power - 1,000 words

  • Physical Resistance - 1,000 words

  • Magic Power - 1,000 words

  • Magic Resistance - 1,000 words

  • Speed - 1,500 words

  • Health - 2,000 words
